The ANATEL (Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações, National Telecommunications Agency) is Brazil’s local authority that regulates telecommunications equipment. ANATEL certification is a mandatory step for approval if manufacturers are to gain access to the Brazilian telecommunications market.
