Built for Industrial-Scale Connectivity
Engineered for Every Industrial Demand
High-Speed 5G for a New Network Experience
The IR925 features 5G cellular high-speed network access with a downlink speed of up to 3.4 Gbps, providing a comprehensive enhancement to the new network experience. High bandwidth and low latency contribute to building a more powerful and efficient next-generation network for bandwidth-hungry industrial applications.
Solid Multi-Level Security Protection
The IR925 integrates a TPM encryption chip in hardware and multiple layers of security policies in software, including VPN (IPsec, L2TP, OpenVPN, WireGuard), firewall, policy routing and access authentication. It effectively safeguards sensitive data and critical business networks from attacks and threats, providing a secure and reliable network environment.
Always-On Connectivity for Unattended Sites
Equipped with link backup, link detection, dual SIM switching, an embedded watchdog and more, the IR925 ensures the reliability and stability of connections. Heartbeat packets detect link status and auto-redial on disconnection, while the device runs self-detection and auto-recovers from malfunctions — reducing the risk of network failures and saving network investment costs.
Rich Interfaces for Industrial Field Access
Five Gigabit Ethernet ports (1 × 2.5GbE + 4 × 1GbE) connect PLCs, controllers and cameras; RS232/RS485 serial ports with 15 kV ESD protection and 4 × DIO plus a relay output handle legacy equipment and alarm linkage; GNSS positioning tracks mobile assets. TCP/UDP transparent transmission and Modbus RTU-to-TCP bridging integrate field devices into modern SCADA and IoT systems.
Industrial-Grade Design for Harsh Conditions
IP30 fanless all-metal housing, -40°C to +70°C wide-temperature operation (extended up to 75°C), EMC level 3 protection against static, surges and pulsed electric fields, plus shock, vibration and free-fall resistance. DC 9–48 V wide-range power input with over-current and anti-reverse protection, and DIN rail / wall-mount installation for control cabinets and field enclosures.

Q1What is the IR925 and what are its key capabilities?
The IR925 is InHand's 5G industrial router for unattended industrial sites. Key capabilities:
- 5G NR (SA/NSA), up to 3.4 Gbps downlink, with 4G/3G fallback
- Dual Nano-SIM, optional eSIM
- Dual-band Wi-Fi 6, AP and Client modes
- 1 × 2.5GbE + 4 × GbE, WAN/LAN configurable
- RS232 + RS485, 4 × DIO, 1 × relay, and GNSS
- IPsec and L2TP VPN, with a hardware TPM
- -40 to +70 °C, DC 9–48 V, DIN-rail or wall mount
Cellular SKUs: IR925-GLNR-WLAN, IR925-EUNR-WLAN, IR925-CNNR-WLAN.
Q2How do I register the IR925 with InHand DeviceLive?
The IR925 uses InHand DeviceLive for cloud management. Registration is done in the DeviceLive portal — no configuration is needed on the device's web GUI.
Log in to DeviceLive at device.inhandcloud.com, go to Devices and click Add. Enter a device name plus the serial number and MAC address, then click Finish. Once the IR925 has internet access, it connects to DeviceLive automatically and appears online.
Q3Which industrial interfaces does the IR925 support?
The IR925 includes:
- 1 × RS232 and 1 × RS485 serial (15 kV ESD protection), for TCP/UDP transparent transmission and Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP conversion
- 4 × digital I/O, each configurable as input or output
- 1 × relay output, 2 A @ 30 V DC
Configure them in the web GUI under Industrial Interfaces > Industrial Serial Port and Industrial Interfaces > Industrial I/O. View live I/O state under Status > I/O.
Q4How do I set up link backup on the IR925?
Two Ethernet ports can serve as WAN: WAN1/LAN1 and LAN2/WAN2. Go to Internet > Uplink Table, add a WAN or Wi-Fi (STA) uplink alongside Cellular, and drag the uplinks to set their priority. Then go to Internet > Uplink Setting, choose Link Backup (traffic moves to the next uplink on failure) or Load Balancing (all healthy uplinks carry traffic), enable the detection criteria, and set a detection address.
