Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is an independent and non-profit organization that tests and certifies components and products for safety in U.S. Its UL certification is based on area classification and explosion protection methods for either Division or Zone installations, which is widely perceived as the non-incentive standard in North America relating to products for use in hazardous locations (HazLocs). In terms of C1D2, it is a part of a safety classification system that defines what type of technology that is permissible and safe to use for all workers.
The InGateway502 (abbreviated as IG502) is a new-generation IoT edge gateway with pre-integrated industrial protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU. VG710 Vehicle Gateway is now ITxPT compliant!
July 12, 2022 – We are proud to announce that the VG710 multi-network vehicle gateway is now ITxPT compliant and listed in their catalog.
ITxPT stands for “Information Technology for Public Transport”. It is a set of specifications developed by the non-profit association of ITxPT, which was founded in 2015. They provide public transport authorities and operators with recommendations and requirements to support the purchase and integration of interoperable IT architecture. The ITxPT specifications are publicly available and free to use by anyone. Industry suppliers use the specifications to design ITxPT-compliant equipment and services.
ITxPT defines interoperability on hardware, communication protocol and service levels, scope covering module inventory, time service, GNSS location, FMStoIP, VEHICLEtoIP, AVMS, APC, MADT, MQTT Broker.
The InVehicle G710 (abbreviated as VG710) can deliver reliable on-board connectivity for both road and railway public transport. The E-Mark certificate is an authorized proof issued by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (ECE). It is a necessity for whole vehicles as well as a range of automotive systems and parts. A properly E-Marked product is granted unrestricted access to the EU market and can nearly always be used without further testing, assessment, or other conformity marks.
In addition, the value of an E-mark can extend beyond Europe since many countries model their own compliance requirements to those of the European Union and many accept E-Mark reports as suitable proof of compliance.
